3rd Asia-Pacific Workshop on Trapped Quantum Systems (APTQS 2020) - Online Conference (Oct. 28–30, 2020)

New (Oct. 21): Timetable for APTQS 2020:

Registration site has been closed (Oct. 24)

General Information

The 3rd Asia-Pacific Workshop on Trapped Quantum Systems (APTQS 2020, Oct. 28 – 30, 2020) is organized by the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology (QIQB), Institute for Open and Transdisciplinary Research Initiatives (OTRI), Osaka University. Trapped quantum systems in atomic, molecular and optical physics—including trapped ions, cold neutral atoms, and confined photons—are excellent tools for quantum simulation, quantum computing and metrology. This workshop aims to gather together experts on trapped quantum systems to discuss challenges and new directions in the fields of atomic precision metrology, quantum simulation, and quantum computing. We hope that APTQS provides an inspiring place for exploring perspectives on the fundamental understanding of trapped quantum systems and the breakthrough technologies involved with them.

Main topics of APTQS 2020

1. Quantum computing with trapped ions and atoms

2. Precision measurement with trapped ions and cold atoms

3. Quantum simulations with trapped atomic and confined photonic systems
