QIQB at the G7 Science and Technology Ministers’ Meeting in Sendai.
12 May 2023 – QIQB’s deputy director, Professor Takashi Yamamoto and collaborators Tsuyoshi Kodama (Hamamatsu Photonics K.K) and Shigehito Miki (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology) showcased the first domestically produced system capable of implementing the world-leading 32-channel superconducting single-photon detector at the G7 Science and Technology Ministers’ Meeting in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture which has been developed under the R&D project “Quantum Cyberspace with Networked Quantum Computer” within Moonshot Goal 6.
